HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT BECOMING A TRUSTEE OF THE DEVON HISTORY SOCIETY?

The DHS is run by a Board of Trustees that determines the general direction of the Society and checks that it runs smoothly and efficiently.
Trustees meet four times a year, currently virtually using Zoom on a Saturday morning.  The term of office is three years which is renewable. The main activities of the Society comprise a series of events, a journal, a newsletter and links with a number of affiliated societies.   It is also involved in specific projects such as Devon in the 1920s.  There are no paid employees. The main criterion for a Trustee is a commitment and enthusiasm for the history of Devon.   Trustees come from a range of backgrounds and experiences including heritage, academic, local societies and management.    The Trustees would welcome those committed to the aims and vision of the Society and particularly those who can contribute new ideas, support existing functions such as publicity and marketing or have particular skills that they would be prepared to bring such as IT and social media.
